18th century Gazettes

French language gazettes spread the ideas and news of the 18th century throughout Europe. Because of their ephemeral nature, however, access to large runs of these sources can be difficult. With this in mind, several French research groups are digitizing two of these gazettes, the Gazette de Leyde and Le Courrier d'Avignon, and making them available online. These are full-text images, so they are not searchable by keyword, but they are easy to browse. Descriptions of the project and links to the gazettes are available here:
